Is Ibugesic Good For Fever?

Hi, I have a 2 yrs old daughter. Since early morning, she has been running fever. She vomited once too. As her fever was increasing, I gave her Calpol 5ml twice but fever still increased. It is around 101degrees now. Now her pediatrician prescribed Ibugesic. So, is it ok for a child and will it help fever come down?
