Is Ibuprofen-600 Safe To Take Every 6-7 Hours For A Week?

I got all 4 wisdom teeth removed Monday. Dr gave me hydrocodone 7.5/325mg. They weren t doing enough so I was told by the office to take 600mg ibuprofen with the hydrocodone every 6 hours. The ibuprofen really works well for me! I ve been taking it every 6-7 hours since Monday. I ve only taken a few of the hydrocodone because honestly I don t feel like they help me at all! How long can I continue to take 600 mg ibuprofen every 6-7 hours? I make sure to eat every time I take them so they aren t so harsh on my stomach. Just worried about the effects from them on my heart, kidneys etc. I m hoping the wisdom teeth removal pain will start to lessen soon! The other 3 are fine but my one lower is killing me because it was close to the nerve and he had to drill and break it apart. Can I keep taking the ibuprofen as I am for the rest of the week? Or is it too dangerous?

Thanks for the query..

Yes you can continue taking Ibuprofen but do not exceed the maximum dose limit per day that 3200mg per day in divided doses..
So if you are taking 600 mg also take a maximum of 4 doses..
Always take after meals it and if there is stomach discomfort you can take Pantoprazole half an hour before meals twice a day..
Pain will gradually become less severe and in a week to ten days the requirements of painkillers will get ceased..
Also do cool compresses over the cheek and do warm saline gargles..
If after 10 days also pain.does not get relieved or of it becomes more severe consult your Dentist to check for Dry Socket..
