Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

As per your complain, the symptoms of loose motions can be due to causes like viral gastroenteritis, food poisoning, parasitic infestation, food intolerance, food allergies, laxative abuse, excess intake of tea and coffee, electrolyte imbalance etcetera.

As you are taking Flagyl that is an antibiotic and Imodium that is an anti-diarrhea medicine, it should be continued for the prescribed course for achieving complete resolution.

Along with it, start taking fluid replacement therapy that is drink plenty of oral rehydration salts by dissolving in water and take more of banana, yoghurt, rice and cereals.

In case of no resolution in next 3 to 4 days, consult a Gastroenterologist and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and investigations like blood tests and stool culture can help in diagnosis and treatment can be done accordingly.

You can be advised antibiotics, Albendazole etcetera depending upon the cause detected. If it is due to food allergies, the cause will be ruled out and eliminated from your diet.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Honey Arora
