Is Inositol Safe To Be Taken Instead Of IP-6 In A Cancer Patient?

My husband takes IP-6. This time we ordered what I thought was the same, but got Insitol that does not say anything about IP-6. Are they the same, should we send it back? He take it to prevent having so many pre cancer spots on his face, and it really helps.Thank you, Caleen
