Is Isomil Advisable As A Supplement To Breast Milk?

Hi,. My baby is super fussy anytime I take any dairy product(milk, yogurt e.t. c) she s 4.5months and exclusively breastfed. I ve cut off all forms of diary in my diet now. I want to start supplements at 5 months because I am no longer coping with expression and work . She takes 23-26oz while I m at work for 7hrs. The maximum I express daily is 18oz and it s tasking I ve exhausted my freezer stash I created before resumption. Can I use isomil as a supplement to breastmilk? Would have done a more sensitive brand or a hypoallergenic formula but I can t afford them.

Hello,

You can give isomilk to your baby. It is safe and one of the most recommended brand by most of the pediatricians. It is almost similar to human milk and allergic reaction and side effects are minimal.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Wishing you all the best.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
