Is Kidpred Good For A Kid Suffering From Asthma?
Hiii dr. My 5 nd half yr old son suffering from severe cough at night nd in the morning he coughed so badly....I asked my dr. He said its kind of asthma problm..m so worried abt it..he suggests me syrup kidpred nd alkof nd Azax 200....plz tell me kidpred is a steroid. .is it gud fr my kid..I am so worried abt his health..it tensed me so much

Yes, kidpred is a steroid with the following uses:
1) It reduces the inflammation of airways
2) It reduces the secretions or mucus or phlegm
3) It dilates the airways and decreases the congestion of airways
4) It decreases cough and thus helps in decreasing the wheezing too
So, kindly give the medications as prescribed by the pediatrician and don't worry this steroid Is very low dose and doesn't cause any adverse effects. In fact steroid is necessary in decreasing your son's symptoms.
