Is L- Arginine Dangerous For Varicocele?

Dear Doctor, I am 36 yr unmarried male - 80 kgs - 5 ft 11 from India with no serious ailments. I intend to use Arginitric- SR from Medreich company to aid me in both- better sexual health and my weight training workouts. I plan to take 3 gms per day to begin with and slowly move to 5 / 6 gm a day over 3 meals. As a Vasolidator, and overall health benefit - i understand that this is helpful. BUT, I have a Grade 2 Varicocele too - left testicle. My Qs is-> Will taking L- Arginine everyday be harmful for the Varicocele ? Thanks in advance

HI, thanks for the query
Taking arginine will definitely make your varicocele look bad as a result of vasodilation but long term effects on it are not well documented. varicocele itself is considered to be a treatable cause for sterility in males. Hence i would suggest you to keep a track of sperm count on a regular basis and if you see any changes, better opt for a surgery. In this surgery, the surgeon will just tie the dilated veins.
