Is Lamisil Intake Safe For Treating Toe Fungus Of An Individual With Cardiomyopathy?

How bad is lamisil for you to take, I have read up on it and it doesn t sound safe. Liver failure and bad for my heart, I have cardiomyopathy as it is. I have a toe fungas infection and my dr. says this is the only remedy is that true? He needs me to take a blood test before i start taking it and 1 month after, this scares me.

Hi,

I think it is safe to use Lamisil cream for a foot fungal infection if you have heart and liver issues. The usage of topical creams leads to minimal systemic absorption and is not dangerous. In this case no blood tests are needed.

If you are taking it in tablets the liver damage may be a concern and blood chemistry is needed. Also you should use a smaller dosage than other patients.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
