Is Levonorg/Eth Estrad The Right Medicine For Excessive Menstrual Bleeding?

I was told by my doctor that my blood count is 107 I was just prescribed levonorg/eth estr 150/30 for excessive bleeding during a mentstral cycle . I m very worried about the high doses I m supposed to take Day 1- 6 tabs once daily Day 2- 5 tabs once daily Day 3- 4 tabs once daily So on so forth, is this a common dose for my diagnoses?

Hi, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns. Abnormal heavy bleeding can be due to hormonal or non hormonal changes in the uterus.
Tranexemic acid is the first line of treatment to decrease the menstrual blood flow.
If the bleeding is not controlled by the tranexemic acid, then you should take oral contraceptive pills as advised. They are nevert given as first line treatment except in puberty menorrhagia.
