Is Lexapro The Right Medication For Extreme Anxiety, Depression And Sleeplessness?

Hi, I recently saw a new physician and she prescribed 7.5 mg. of Buspirone which has done absolutely nothing in 2 weeks. (2 per day). I experience extreme anxiety, sleeplessness, which then leads to sadness and depression. My daugher suggested Lexapro?
