Is Loestrin, Take Safe During Last Depo Shot?

I have been on Depo Provera for about nine months now and I have talked to friends who were prescribed birth control pills to help control their bleeding. The entire time that I have been on this shot, I have bleed heavily on a off... more so than not though. Would it be safe to take Loestrin 24 while finishing my last shot of Depo?
