Is Marijuana Smoking Advisable Post Microdiscectomy?

I had a microdiscectomy yesterday, and the OxyCodone the doctors prescribed me isn t giving me any form of relief. They told me to up the amount I m taking to 1 every three hours, but I still haven t felt any changes. I was wondering if smoking marijuana would be a safe alternative, or if it would decrease oxygen levels in my blood, therefore slowing down my recovery time? Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Hi
Thank you for asking HCM.
I have gone through your query. Smoking Marijuana is not advised. It will cause more adverse effects than benefits. You can ask your doctor to increase the dosage of Oxycodone or add combinations with it like paracetamol or NSAIDs like Aceclofenac or muscle relaxants like Cyclobenzaprine. Physiotherapy also will be helpful.
Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear.
Thanks.
