Is Meftal P Sufficient To Treat Fever In An Infant?

Hi my son is 15 months old nd his wejght is 9.5 kg .He was suffering from vough nd cold for last 2 days .Today morning he had 101 fever then our doc suggested meftal p nd immediatly his fever reduced to 96 .It is a viral fever he ll be ok with this medication please clarify

Most infections in this age group are viral and the majority are viral cough and cold infections.

The cough itself can persist for up to 6 weeks even after most of the other symptoms have resolved. In addition since they do not have a strong immune system, small children can potentially get up to 10 colds a year till their immunity builds up.

He should be okay but if you remain concerned, you should take him to your doctor for assessment.
