Is Meftal The Right Medicine For Viral Fever?
Hello Doctor, My daughter (5 and half years old, 22 KGs) is having viral fever since yesterday. We consulted with her doctor and she suggested to give her Crocin (7 ml every 6 hours). But today even after giving crocin the fever did not come down. It was 100+. Now it s around 102. Should we give Meftal?

Your daughter is having fever , may be viral fever .
Crocin is although a good anti pyretic drug but sometimes it act in combination like meftal P ( mefenamic acid +paracetamol ) .
It will decrease not only temperature but will also alleviate pain . So meftal -m P will provide much needed relief to your daughter .
Cold sponging will also lower down temperature .
