Is Melas Skin Cream Safe To Use?

I have been watching the ad of melas skin cream for a long time....and it guarantees to whiten your skin and reduce scars and marks frm face.....n it only asks you to put it at night....so i just wanted to ask that is that cream gud to be used ? would it have a bad effect if used?

Melas cream is a triple drug combination of a potent steroid+hydroquinone+tretinoin. Such a combination is usually prescribed by a dermatologist for Melasma .The potent steroid that it contains cannot be used on face for long. Using it would obviously lead to side effects related to steroid abuse like Acne, Photosensitivity, Skin thinning (Atrophy) and telangiectasis and Facial hair growth(hirsutism), which is especially troublesome in females.

Therefore it should be used for not more than 2-3 months and that too only under the supervision of a dermatologist since early signs of steroid abuse may be missed by others
