Is Meptin Safe When Having Cough In The Afternoon?

hi...imhaving problem with my 5 yr old daughter she was taking meptin given by her pedia bec I complained that she had a cough only in the afternoon but not daily sometimes every two days but when her back sweats she begins to have a cough and it sounds badly,theres a wheeze.. then after a 2 to 3 hours it will subside..please help me if i will continue meptin for 2 weeks as prescribed by her pedia or i will give her a montelukast.. thanks
