Is Metformin Same As Janumet?
My mother is on Metformin 500 mg. once a day for diabetes. She used to be one Janumet, and at first the Metformin did not seem to work at well, but now she seems fine. Are these medicines the same? Please let me know. Thankyou, Martha Miller, Novi, MI

Janumet is combination of Sutagliptin and Metformin. Just be careful with her blood sugar levels as she is on one drug in contrast to two drugs previously. Keep a check on her sugar level by FBS , RBS and HbAic.
