Hello,

The drug Methylprednisolone is a steroid and is used to suppress inflammation which enables better healing.

The drug will be prescribed for a short duration of time; later the dose will be tapered off and stopped completely.

The common side effects include weight gain, water retention, blotting, changes in blood pressure to name a few.

Moreover, these unwanted effects diminish as the drug is tapered, and eventually disappear after it is completely stopped.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
