Is Mitazapine Recommended For Weight Gain While On Dialysis?
Hi.My husband has just started dialysis I ask the doctor to give him something for weight gain as it seems when he goes he has been losing weight. He called in Mirtazapine 15mg I looked the medicine up as I do with all medication I take it this seems to be a drug used for depression not for weight gain.

As you explain the situation no I don't think mirtazapine is such efficient in such condition. However if your doctor thinks so than you should follow his suggestion because he knows better his clinical picture.
