Is Monofocal Or Multifocal Lens Advisable For A Dentist?

I need to have cataract surgery on my left eye only. I am trying to decide on a which lens to get. I am a Dentist, very active, go to the farm on weekends and do work there and also do driving at night, many times on country roads. I also teach part time at the Dental School so need good vision for that also. I want to pick the best lens for my Dentistry for if I do not have good vision, I won't be able to work. I have looked at the Monofocal with distance and near vision and the Multifocal. On the Monofocal which would be the best for me distance or near and if they are set for distance vision, then what things will I not be able to see clearly without my glasses. I get around good now with out glasses and am concerned how all this will change when I have this done. Concerned about reading, doing denitstry, computer work, putting on makeup, etc. I do not want to make the wrong decision. Any suggestions, Debbie
