Is Neospirin Pain Relief Cream Effective For Pain And Soreness In Vagina?

Hi I was on antibiotics shortly for a bacterial throat infection.I am sexually active.I believe I just have raw skin in the vaginal area due to rough tissue paper and friction.I have no symptoms of a yeast infection. Is neosporin pain relief cream okay to apply to this area for a few days or will this cause more pain and an infection?
