Is Nexium 40mg Proper Medication For Allergic Rhinitis?

Hi, ive had a post nasal drip for approx 5 months now. in addition to that i have often had a hacking cough and constant clearing of the throat. Also, my dr. told me i have allergic rhinitis because my nose often gets stuffy when im around dust or in cold weather. My dr. prescribed Nexium 40mg i tablet daily fro 1 month and Avamys nasal spray. Do you think this presciption is appropriate?
