Is Novaclox Effective For Treatment Of Swelling On Eyelid?
Hi! I have a swelling on the top left eyelid. There is no sty and when i lift the top part of the eyelid closer to the nose area there is a small white spot which i assume is the cause for the swelling. It is watery at times. I asked a cousin of mine on phone who is an eyespecialist and he has prescribed me Novaclox capsule(amoxycillin 250mg & dicloxacillin 250mg) plus Moxicip eye drops(moxifloxacin hydrochloride solution 0.5%w/v) 4-6 times a day. Also he has recommended hot fermentation 3 times a day. I have been taking this prescription since last 2 days. Can u please suggest if these medicines are ok.......thanks
Hello It seems from the history that you are having swelling of the eyelid. The small white spot on the eye lid indicates inflammatory swelling of the glands of the eyelids. The treatment you are taking in the form of oral antibiotic and antibiotic eye drops is correct and you can continue it as recommended. Along with these you need to take oral anti-inflammatory drugs.
This appears to be calazion, an obstructed mebomian gland. No antibiotic is required. It is Tobe incised and con taints scooped out apply neosporine eye ointment twice daily for 4days
