Is OATS Procedure Advisable For Chondral Defects In Glenoid Socket?
Hi - I m a 56 year old, athletically active male in very good health. I recently had a RT shoulder arthroscopic debridement for underside fraying of my rotator cuff. During the procedure the surgeon discovered extensive condrolysis and chodromalacic change of the humeral head along with some chondral defects in my glenoid socket. My talented your sports medicine Orthopedist has recommended the OATS procedure for restoring the humeral head. Can the same procedure be done to remedy the chondral defects in the glenoid socket ?
