Is Ocean Nasal spray better than Medi-Med spray for dry nasal passages due to O2 or CPAP use. I understand Medi-Med is not recommended for first time users and Ocean is mild enough for infants. I am an advocate for COPD Foundation and have a support group on Facebook (COPD/ALPHA 1). One of my people in Utah is a first time user of CPAP & O2 concentrator. I advised him that Utah has high levels of sodium, magnesium and as much as twice the recommended iron in the water and to make sure to use distilled water in his concentrator & CPAP humidifiers.

I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
Both are normal saline nasal sprays but Neil Med spray is 2.7% hypertonic saline and ocean spray is normal saline.
So better to use normal saline sprays only hypertonic saline may cause again allergy and irritation.
Hypertensive patients may can cause problems.
Use water vapor inhalation and salt water gargling thrice a day for five days.
Please consult your ENT specialist he will examine and treat you accordingly.
Hope I have answered your query.
