Is Ovares Plus Tablet Safe For A PCOD Patient With Androgen Excess?

Hello doctor I have pcod. Planning for baby. Doctor prescribed ovares plus, rejumet, folic acid. After taking ovares plus experience pain at both the ovaries. am aware ovares plus is given to increase androgen hormone. But been pcos I think I have high androgen hormone, as I have facial hair, acne, hair loss. I don t know why my doctor prescribed it. Should I stop taking it. Instead can I take ovacare for infertility, as I have low amh, hormonal imbalance, pcos. Pls suggest medicine for my case. Thanks

I understand your concern.
Ovares plus tablet contains Dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEA) and Folic Acid.
According to some studies available DHEA improves ovarian function and increases pregnancy chances in general.
But usually it is not recommended in PCOD, as one of the feature of PCOD is androgen excess, which may become worse with intake of DHEA.
Rejumet contains Metformin, which is a insulin sensitizer and helps in decreasing insulin resistance and improved ovulation function in PCOD.
Folic acid is a component of the B group of vitamins and is necessary for the normal production and maturation of red blood cells.
Ovacare is a specially designed micronutrient formulation to support the requirement of women, who are trying to conceive. It contains the following:
1. Inositol, which helps support ovarian function and restores menstrual cycle.
2. L-Arginine, which improves ovarian function and pregnancy rate.
