Is Oxybutynin A Good Alternative Of Vesicare?

I am having issues with my insurance denying vesicare 10mg. I have been on this med for over 10 years. Do you think oxybutynin 10mg will help? This is what they suggested I fail on first. I have failed on detrol and myrbetrig. Does oxybutinin interfere with other meds?

Hello,
Thank you for trusting HCM

Oxybutynin and Vesicare both have anti muscarinic properties.
You should be fine switching from Vesicare to oxybutynin.
Oxybutynin can increase the effect of certain blood pressure medications like metoprolol. It can also increase the effects of hydrocodone. Oxybutynin should not be taken with other anti cholinergic medications.

Hope this answers your question
