Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am currently taking (and have been taking for years) Trospium Chloride 20mg x2 daily (very expensive!) but my ins. recommends me changing to Oxybutynin Cl which is much less $$ and says they are about the same effectiveness. My brain does not always get the message that my blatter needs to be emptied. What do you think?? Thanks
Oxybutinin and Trospium are of similar efficacy and you can safely switch to Oxybutinin instead of Trospium. Oxybutinin has got slightly more chances for side effects but efficacy is more or less similar.
Hope I have answered your query.
