Hi,
Panderm plus contains a combination of ofloxacin and
ornidazole (antibiotics), terbenafine (antifungal) and clobetasole (steroid) which is mainly used to treat various types of mixed skin infections caused by susceptible microbes including fungus under the supervision of a
dermatologist.
The steroid minimizes the symptoms of inflammation such as redness, swelling, and itching.
Panderm plus cream is not advisable for fairness treatment. The highly potent steroid clobetasol can lead to various side effects such as thinning of the skin, facial hair growth (troublesome in females), prominence of blood vessels (as telangiectasias), rashes, thinning of the skin, and pimples.
In view of the above I would advise you to not to use this cream on your face as it can be harmful and it thus should never be used as a fairness cream.
I would recommend you to take a skin lightening cream containing
kojic acid or
glycolic acid or
hydroquinone which can be used once or twice daily to enhance the fairness gradually without causing harmful effects on the facial skin.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr. Mohammed Taher Ali, General & Family Physician
