Is Prednisone Advisable For An Elderly Person With Scoliosis And Osteoporosis?
I will be 80 in Dec . Have scoliosis and osteoporosis. The Dr is reluctively putting me on this for paain. After reading all th inf here I am wondering if I should I was on it last year for a short while starting at 25 mgm and it helped the pain. I have 3 vertabraes fused in my neck since 1974,Have such pain in my lower bacvk and the T area. Disabling pain. The Neuro Dr in Vanc said last eek the risk was to bad for surgery. I am booked for a proceedure in Langely for a inj into back Should I just hold up on the prednisone . my email is YYYY@YYYY

Not only inold age in all ages steroids are not safe they should br used only when no othrr option is available yes locally inintervertrbral space least absorbable steroids are given not much side effects and they give good results you can have it provided there is no other contra indicaton other things to are physiotherapy injectable vitamin d and calcium aldronate 70 weekly multivitamin minral caps protien
