Is Primolut-N Effective In Preventing Pregnancy?

Hi, I had an unprotective sex on april 27th (2 weeks after my period) then I went to obgyn and the doctor prescribe me with prinolut n till 30th april. When will I get my period? Is prinolut n safe ? And is effective to avoid pregnancy ? *my period cycle is 21-28 days Thank you

I have gone through your query and can understand your concern...
Primolut N is a safe drug. However it should not prevent pregnancy if your ovulation has taken place 1-2 before 27 april.
Your gynaecologist has prescribed you primolut as in case ovulation has not taken place then it would delayit by 2-3 days.

However taking an emergency contraceptive pill would make more sense in preventing pregnancy. Emergency contraceptive pill prevent pregnancy by prevention of implantation of fertilized egg on uterus. It has success of 90% if taken within 72 hours of intercourse.
