dear sir I can understand your concern
in my opinion this mediation trajenta 5 mg belongs a novel class of medication called DPP-4 inhibitors
this medication is having very low risk of hypoglycemia
there is some evidence stating that it also protects your pancreatic beta cells and also helps there regeneration.
As this beta cells produce insulin so the requirement of exogenous insulin might not increase.
I totally support your doctors opinion
I too suggest you to continue same prescription
regards
