Hello and Welcome to 'Ask A Doctor' service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
1] PCOS leads to irregular menses.
2] Medicines given to you help to regularize menses and also reduce bad effects of PCOS. But they also prevent egg formation.
3] I will suggest to indulge in healthy diet and regular exercise regime.
4] Include plenty of fruits, salads, and vegetables in the diet. Avoid deep fried foods, bakery products, and refined sugars.
5] Get HSG test for tubal patency and husband's semen analysis done.
6] I usually suggest: egg forming tablet like fertyl 50 mg once a day for 5 days from day 2 of the cycle. Follicle study from day 10. Injection HCG 5,000 IU when follicle reaches 18 mm or above to help egg formation. Have intercourse or IUI on that day.
7] Please start on folic acid, B12; also tab glycomet SR 500 mg 2 times a day for 3 months or till conception is recommended.
8] With proper and rational treatment PCOS has good chances to conceive.
9] Tablets used by you do not lead to cancer, so do not worry.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Wish you great health.

Regards,
Dr. Purushottam Neurgaonkar
