Is Progyluton The Right Medication To Regularise Periods?

Hi.i am having my first period on 1st feb then getting another period on 15th feb...i went to doc.she gave me progyloton 1 pkt.After that i got my period on 18th march.Then i got my period on 15th april...again on 1st may...and again on 12th may...My gaynec again give progyloton ...is it normal...or should i go for something else

Hi,

Yes, usually it may be the right medication for regularizing the irregular period, because it has very low doses of estrogen and progestogen ,just required for regularizing the menstrual cycle, hence having minimal hormone depending side effects.

Still rarely, it may have side effects of irregular vaginal bleeding, particularly, if you miss more than one dose. However, these effects are temporary and go by themselves. Usually a course of 3 cycles is given, but it may be increased to 6 months and in some cases up to 12 months, if needed.
