Is Prolia Effective In The Treatment Of Osteoporosis?

Yes, it s a long story, but the short story is that my MD has recommended that I get a baseline bone density ultra sound on the heal every 6 months, to see how my treatment is going. I just had a dexascan and my reading was a -3.6. 18 months ago it was a -3.0 and I ve been on Boniva and supplements D, K, etc for those same 18 months. He wants to put me on Prolia . I have asked him if I could try a plant base diet and a stronger supplement and exercise program first. He said only if I could have this scan done within 6 months to see if there is any improvement. If there isn t then I would agree to the Prolia . I have not been able to locate a facility that still does this type of ultra sound. Do you have any suggestions? I love in Arizona.

Prolia is very effective and is a medication with very good results. If there is a severe osteoporosis can't be cured with suplements OS diet it needs medical treatment.
