Is RMSF Permanently Curable?

I am trying to find out more information about a disease my son contacted. it was from an insect bite.i want to try to find out information on it.at first he was diagnose for rocky mountain fever and this turned into this disease. I kinow it affects your joints and memory. he can,t remember what they said the disease was. they said there was no cure for it but they are treating him with experimental drugs at the disease control center in savannah. if you have any ideas what the name of this disease might be could you please email me and let me me know then I can start searching it myself. thank you. any info would be helpful judy tyson

Sorry to say but rocky mountain spotted fever has no cure and only symptomatic medications help to alleviate the underlying agony for particular period of times.
