Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I had spyhillis over 4 years ago. My rpr was 1:16 and then after a month it went to 1:8 and it stayed like that until I got more injections over a three week period in 2013. In August I got my sti check up and the doctor checked off rpr which is now non reactive which means what
dear friend RPR(rapid plasma reagin) is a screening test for syphilis. It looks for antibodies that are present in the blood of people who may have the disease.
The test is also used to see how treatment for syphilis is working. After treatment with antibiotics, the levels of syphilis antibodies should fall. These levels can be monitored with another RPR test. Unchanged or rising levels can mean a persistent infection
A negative test that is non reactive result is considered normal.
