Is 'Raw Thyroid' Safe And Effective For Treatment Of Thyroid Dysfunction?
I was diagnosed with Graves disease many years ago and took PYT or PTY - anyway my thyroid is now sluhhish, i cant lose weight, have no energy etc... i have no medical coverage for doctors, blood tests, or prescriptions and want to know if i can take "raw thyroid" and if so how much is safe to take ? thank you edith lecce
Hello and welcome! I can understand your concern. As the doctors left you without treatment it means that the thyroid hormonal level has resulted within the normal ranges. Taking ''Raw thyroid'' while your gland functions normally can cause many side effects. In this way you provoke again hyperthyroidism. I would suggest to discuss with your treating physician and try to find another cause for your symptoms (Vit D deficiency, a low cortisol level ect) Do not attribute your symptoms to the thyroid gland as far as the hormonal results are within the normal ranges.
