I consulted a Dermatologist who suggested I use Retino AC for my acne. He had earlier prescribed Benzoyl Peroxide and a Clindamycin Phosphate gel but they had stopped affecting me, so he gave me a new cream.
I have been applying Retino AC for a week now before I go to bed. I noticed that wherever I applied the cream, I could see some sheen there, like it was demarcating the gel applied area from the no gel area (better illustration- it looks like I still have the gel on after I wash my face). I am kind of worried as I even used a scrub in hopes of getting it off. What am I doing wrong?
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have acne on face which could be due to hormonal imbalance, stress and clogging of skin pores. I would suggest you to wash your face with face-wash containing salicylic acid , exfoliate your skin once a week. Reino AC contain retinoids which are very effective in treating acne. You can apply adapelene gel as well at night. Ointments containing benzyol peroxide, azelaic acid or retinoids will be beneficial for you. Visit dermatologist once if symptoms keeps on persisting and get proper prescription and start treatment.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
