Is Rocephin Safe For Fever In An Infant?
How safe is rocephin to give to an baby who is 7 months old today? She was diagnosed with fever virus in the ER early am on Friday and received an injection then and later that day given another injection at her doctors office. Her temperature went to 103, but has had no fever since around noon yesterday. She now has developed diarrhea, possibly from the rocephin.

hello there, instead of ceftriaxone (rocephin) cefotaxime is better in pediatric age group. diarrhea after ceftriaxone occurs in around 6 % of the patients. thank you
