Is Rotavirus Vaccination Advisable For An Infant?

hello doctor,today i have to go for vaccination of six weeks as written,when i asked my ped. he told that he has all painless except one which will cause fever for two days.i have to go for rotra n pvc too.if fever will come cause of one then should i opt other rest painless or painful n pvc is essential ?

Yes Rotavirus vaccination is advisable for an infant. It is used to protect against rotavirus infections which are the leading cause of severe diarrhea among young children. The vaccines thereby decrease the risk of death among young children due to diarrhea. There is clear evidence of positive effect of this vaccine on child's health.
The World Health Organization (WHO) recommended that rotavirus vaccine to be included in routine vaccinations especially in areas where the disease is common. It is given by mouth and requires two or three doses. It contains weakened rotavirus which could cause slight fever for 1-2 days. First dose should be given starting around six weeks of age.

Refer to your child specialist or pediatrician
Don't worry your kid would be fine
