Is SGPT Value Of 165 A Cause For Concern?

My brother is 21 years old and going to the gym, he has taken a lot of supplements (supper mas gainer, vitamins) during the last month. It has been almost one week that that he acts very strange, saying strange things like my name written in the sky or he thinks that all NSAS’s researches are going to happen very soon. I took him to Mental and Neurological specialist, the doctor said it a psychosis problem and advised him some medicine. The Dr. said, he will be fine very soon. I also took him the General interior specialist and he advised a full body checkup. We did it. As per the report he is totally fine but except his SGPT is too high- 165. Could please advise us what to do?

Hello

High SGPT means his liver has been injured most probably due to supplement he has taken while going to gym.

However should rule out viral hepatitis through hepatitis B and C tests.

Next, his psychosis issues might also be related to supplements or even any other drug he had taken to gain strength.

Advise him to stop any of them, take medicines as prescribed, and run hepatitis tests if not done yet.

Wish fast recovery.
