Is Salbair A Good Alternative Of Asthalin Inhaler?

Hi I was on asthalin inhaler + Foracort 250 inhaler for more than 15 years.... Now the same is not responding to my conditions. I have a chest congestion with expectorant. What do I do. Should I continue using it or should I switch to salbair transhaler. When I use salbair transhaler I m feeling better but the same condition repeats after few hours like 4 or 5 hours.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Salbair is a brand name of Levosalbutamol, it is considered superior to Asthalin. Prolonged use of bronchodilators can cause resistance and may need to switch the drugs. You can switch to Salbair after discussion with your pulmonologist.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
