How does smoking cause high blood-pressure? doesn't it just effect the lungs?
If it weakens the heart, wouldn't you get low blood-pressure?
If it weakens the heart, heart being a muscle, wouldn't you get low blood-pressure?
Alrite, so with all these vasoconstrictors in your body along with everything else put in, is there any way to get rid of all the junk in your body OTHER than stopping smoking, eating right and excersising?
Smoking will increase your heart rate thus increasing your blood pressure temporarily after smoking. In the longer term it causes atherosclerosis, which is hardening of the arteries, causing high blood pressure as the artery will be less compliant so the rise of pressure will be greater for each volume of blood pumped by the heart. ( a bit of physics here that i am not an expert on)
If you stop smoking you blood pressure will go down because there is a reduction of the heart rate.
Hope that helps
