Is Sucralfate Twice Daily Used To Treat An Infection, Ulcers, Or Both?

Hi, i was recently in e.r. , i wasn t feeling well and felt like i was having a heart attack . i was told it was gas from the health provider that treated me . i went to a fellow up appointment with my pcp and he check my blood work and said i had an infection in my blood that it was 16.something he said i need to take antibiotic and proscribe me Sucralfate 1 gram twice a day i look up this medicine is it to eliminate ulcer or infection or both
