Is TSH 4.2, T4 14.5, And Cholesterol Anything To Worry During Pregnancy ?

Hi my wife is 33 years and is 5 weeks pregnant and today we got the test in which the TSH was 4.2 and T4 14.5 and Chol 6.2 she got worried that it may effect the baby our GP had advised to wait for a month and get another test please your advise many thanks

Any raise in levels should usually be combatted with medications that help regularise these levels, as they can affect the course of pregnancy. It would thus be advisable to go ahead with the follow up, but in the meantime discuss the benefits of introducing a treatment regimen for these levels as well.
