Is TSH Level Of 4 A Cause For Concern?

Hi Dr, Last month I have tested my TSH level it is 4. I have been taking 112.5mcg thyronorm tablet per day. I am facing weight issue, I am not able to loose weight even though I eat less. My hairs are falling. Can you suggest me what is the right does of thyronorm in my case? I had my delivery just before 1.5 year. Sinc ethen my TSH levels are not stable.

Hello,

The current TSH level of 4 is considered normal physiologically. However, as there is weight gain issue and this has happened only after delivery, I would quote further in depth evaluation of pituitary function with MRI as many of the cases show up with Sheehan syndrome over a delayed period of time.
