Is TSH Level Of 9.04 A Cause For Concern?

Hi, I m 14 weeks pregnant, and I was just found to have hypothyroidism. My TSH levels were 9.04 when I tested (fairly recently, over a week ago), and they ve prescribed me 75mcg of Synthroid. I m so scared for the baby; that this may have been caught too late? My husband and I have read that hypothyroidism can affect the baby s brain development, as well as causing premature births/miscarriage. Will the baby be ok?

Most likely, yes, the baby should be okay as long as you take the hormone regularly and there is no other issue with you.
