Is TSH Value Of 1.43 A Cause For Concern?

My TSH is 1.43 on my present 45 dosage of Thyroid medication. For some months I have been falling asleep during the morning, afternoon and evening. I am in bed for the night by 10:30 and usually sleep 6 and sometimes 7 hours, though occasionally have a 4 or 5 hour sleep, but have always functioned well and been energetic during the day until the last few months. Should my thyroid medication be increased?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

As per your history, it absolutely normal.

Continue medications as adviced. Take one hour before breakfast.

Watch for symptoms like rapid heart beats, anxious, irritable. Then you may require dosage adjustment.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shyam B. Kale, General & Family Physician
