Is Terminator Chebula, Effective For Cough Due To GERD?

I am 28 years old and continuing with 7th month of pregnancy, last 15 days or so suffering with cough (may be dry cough). It is worsening day by day. I am consulting my doctor, but not geting any remedies exActly. I think, it may be due to GERD, because no signs of cold. Kindly guide me, what is the best medicine and treatment I can take and can I take Terminalia chebula.
